Through coursework, performance, and independent study, students develop artistic, analytical, and teaching skills while pursuing creative and scholarly projects.<\/p>\n<p>To receive credit for research:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Speak with faculty about their research and creative interests early in your first year.<\/li>\n<li>Identify a research or creative project that aligns with your interests.<\/li>\n<li>Develop your project with faculty mentorship.<\/li>\n<li>Register for independent study or honors research with approval.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students present their work at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/research\/conference\/\">Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Scholarship and Creative Works <\/a><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/research\/conference\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Conference<\/a> and<\/span> may also perform original compositions, present research, and participate in regional and national conferences, festivals, and professional organizations.<\/p>\n<p>Through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/research\/undergraduate\/\">SPARK Center<\/a> (Scholars Pursuing Arts, Research and Knowledge), students can receive funding, mentorship, and support for creative projects, scholarly research and conference participation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Through composition, performance, teaching, and scholarship, students examine how music shapes communities, inspires expression, and enriches learning across diverse settings.
