This grant-funded program is designed to help students who are interested in science and mathematics complete their undergraduate degree and become a STEM professional\u2014either in the workforce or by attending graduate school. Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ is offering a maximum of $15,000 annual scholarships<\/strong> to high-achieving students with demonstrated financial need, funded by a National Science Foundation grant.<\/p>\n

The STEM Scholars program is no longer accepting new applicants for this academic year. The program is currently supporting enrolled cohorts of students who are actively engaged in coursework, mentoring, and faculty-led research experiences.<\/strong><\/p>\n

STEM Scholars Program Goals<\/h2>\n

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­\u2019s STEM Scholars program in New York\u2014\u201cEnsuring STEM Student Success Through an Integrative Support Program\u201d<\/a>\u2014is supported by the National Science Foundation and is framed by the following goals:<\/p>\n

  1. Recruit at least 25 STEM scholars across two cohorts and implement a number of evidence-based academic and co-curricular activities to support, retain and graduate these students.<\/li>\n
  2. Place all students into the STEM workforce or graduate programs immediately following graduation.<\/li>\n
  3. Increase the knowledge surrounding activities that are critical to retention and graduation of low-income students in STEM.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The STEM Scholars program\u2014which encompasses the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics disciplines and falls under the College of Arts and Sciences\u2014supports underserved undergraduate students who complete a degree in STEM and prepares them to move into the STEM workforce or pursue a graduate degree.
